Bringing out the mess!

I’ve been talking a lot about journaling lately. That’s because its become a big part of my life. I started doing Morning Pages earlier this year and can count on one hand the number of days I’ve missed. I love starting my day off with pen and paper first thing. In the evening time I’m usually in Day One (or now the new Apple Journaling app) writing about my day or feelings or whatever.

Apple’s much anticipated journal app was released to beta users this week. I downloaded the app immediately. I’ve been looking forward to this app ever since it was announced at WWDC in June. A little history here. I’ve had Day One for years. I’ve been an off-and-on again journal entry guy. Then early this year I decided to get serious about journaling. I’ve tried using a notebook and that’s my favorite way to journal (I do morning pages every day with pen and paper).

Let’s talk about Notifications and Focus Modes

I’m pretty sure Apple didn’t create Focus modes for this reason. But I’m trying something out. One of my biggest complaints with Apple has been the fact that you cannot customize notifications for individuals. You can set up VIP notifications in mail but that’s it. I want that type of notification control across my device. Mainly for messages. I do not need to see a text message with an advertisement on my lock screen.

Drafts Capture on the web is really nice. Since I am working on a PC all day, its nice open the browser and be able to write and/or copy something to send to Drafts. It has worked seamlessly so far.
