Now that I’ve finished reading Extreme Ownership, I need to find another book to read. I have a plethora of them to choose from. I usually have several books going at the same time. I have an audiobook, a fiction book on my Kindle and then I have a entrepreneurial type book that I’m also reading.

Finished reading: Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win by Jocko Willink ๐Ÿ“š

I really enjoyed this book! I really like how they bring lessons learned from their time being Navy Seals to the business world.

Also, the timing is interesting since I will be stepping into a management role starting next week.

Currently Reading: Wool by Hugh Howey ๐Ÿ“š

I needed a new audiobook to listen to after I finished The Hunt for the Red October. I had a friend tell me the audio book on Apple Books is really good. This is the book series that Silo is based off. So I am giving it a listen and so far its good.

Finished Reading: The Hunt for the Red October

Finished reading: The Hunt for Red October (Jack Ryan, #3) by Tom Clancy ๐Ÿ“š I have never read a Jack Ryan book. Decided to give it a go, though. I’ve always enjoyed the movies and the Amazon Prime show. I haven’t watched the “Hunt for the Red October” movie in so long that I couldn’t remember anything about it. Seemed like a good place to start. I decided to go with the Audible version of this book.

Finished Reading: Dorothy Must Die Stories by Danielle Paige ๐Ÿ“š

This book was interesting. There were three different that were intertwined with each other. This is a story that will make you love characters and hate others. I enjoyed it. I’ll start reading the next book (Dorothy Must Die) soon.

Currently Reading: Revan: Star Wars Legends (The Old Republic) by Drew Karpyshyn ๐Ÿ“š

Started this on Audible today. I loved Drew Karpyshynโ€™s books about Darth Bane so I thought Iโ€™d start this one. Two chapters in and I already love it.

Finished reading: Summer Knight by Jim Butcher ๐Ÿ“š

This was book four in the Dresden files. It wasnโ€™t bad but it wasnโ€™t my favorite by any stretch. I had a hard time engaging. I listened when I went for walks so I was able to get through it pretty quick.

It’s ok to not finish a book, right? I mean I’ve been trying to read a book because the title sounded interesting but I’m having a hard time getting into it. Its on my Kindle so I can easily come back to it later, right? Obviously I know the answer is yes but this is a constant internal struggle.

Currently Reading: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill ๐Ÿ“š

Iโ€™ve heard a lot of people recomend this book so Iโ€™ve decided to make it my next โ€œSelf Improvementโ€ read for this year. This is part of my efforts to read at least 10 pages a day of a self improvement book.

Currently Reading: Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy (Book III: Lesser Evil) (Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy 3) by Timothy Zahn ๐Ÿ“š

Decided to go ahead and listen to the third book in the series. This one is the longest book in the trilogy so we’ll see how long it takes to listen.

    Finished Reading: Relationships First

Finished reading: Relationships First by Emily Frisella ๐Ÿ“š Iโ€™ve made it a goal to try and read at least 10 pages everyday of a self improvement type book. This is the second such book Iโ€™ve finished this year. I really liked this book. This is all about building relationships and how that effects you as a business owner and/or an employee. Emily Frisella is a business owner so she approaches things from that perspective.

Finished Reading: Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy (Book II: Greater Good)

Finished reading: Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy (Book II: Greater Good) (Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy) by Timothy Zahn ๐Ÿ“š I’ve mentioned more than once that I really like the character of Thrawn in the Star Wars universe. His tactical mind during battle is quite remarkable. I keep hoping they’ll bring him to the big screen at some point in time. This was an Audible book. Marc Thompson does the narration. I usually enjoy books that he narrates.

    Sherlock Holmes and Count Dracula

Currently Reading: The Classified Dossier - Sherlock Holmes and Count Dracula by Christian Klaver ๐Ÿ“š With the ice in the area this week, there wasn’t a lot of going outside and doing things. So, I decided to pick up the Kindle and start reading something light hearted and fun. I settled for this book.

Currently Reading: Relationships First by Emily Frisella ๐Ÿ“š

Only two days worth of reading so far and its already really good.

Finished reading: You are a Badass

Finished reading: You Are a Badassยฎ by Jen Sincero ๐Ÿ“š I started 2023 with the goal of reading at least 10 pages a day of a non-fiction/entrepreneurship type book. This was the first of those books. I really enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the content and have already started putting some of the practices to use!

Started listening to Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy (Book II: Greater Good) (Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy) by Timothy Zahn ๐Ÿ“š

Thrawn is one of those characters that fascinates me in the Star Wars books. I hope someday they’ll bring him to the big screen.

Fairy Tale: Stephen King doing what only he can.

Finished reading: Fairy Tale by Stephen King ๐Ÿ“š I got this book on Audible and could not stop listening to it. The story was fascinating to me. It was unlike any Stephen King book I’ve ever read. The descriptiveness of the characters and the scenery was unmatched. It’s a great story about what people will do for love (but not in the way you may think).

Echo Burning: Jack Reacher's at it again

Finished reading: Echo Burning by Lee Child ๐Ÿ“š I love listening to Jack Reacher books on Audible. Dick Hill does an amazing job reading the books. This one was no different. Since its set in Texas during the summer, I understood a lot of the weather talk that went on in the book. The plot line was good as well. All-in-all, I would highly recommend this book.

Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy Book 1 - A Review

Finished reading: Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy (Book I: Chaos Rising) (Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy 1) by Timothy Zahn ๐Ÿ“š One of my favorite Star Wars characters is Thrawn. This is the 7th book about him that I’ve read. I cannot wait to finish this trilogy (Book 2: Greater Good & Book 3: Lesser Evil). I love his tactical mind and I love the way Timothy Zahn portrays this character. If you like Star Wars, I would highly recommend reading any of the Thrawn trilogy’s.

Book Review: Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

Just finished Reading: Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir ๐Ÿ“š **POSSIBLE SPOILERS** I thoroughly enjoyed The Martian and Artemis was entertaining. So when I heard Andy Weir had another book out I decided to give it a go. Now, I must say that I went through all three of these books using Audible on my iPhone. This book, in my opinion, was a combination between the two previous books. What I mean by that is The Martian kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire book.
